Description

Many images of Andromeda show the bands making up the galaxy's striking rings which in fact are neighborhoods that harbor hot, young, massive stars; but fail to capture the brighter, reddish areas which trace the regions where star formation is currently taking place in dense cloudy cocoons.

My goal in processing this image was to bring out these brighter, reddish (magenta) areas.

I believe I achieved my goal; but I will leave the final verdict to the viewer.
