Description

Due to a lack of clear inspiration about what to image, I made the spontaneous decision to capture data for a two-panel mosaic. Certainly, the present moon phase was a main driver to restrict the imaging to narrowband, namely Ha. The selection of the objects was done based on "what culminates at 1 AM?". Since I couldn't decide if I should go for the Little Rosette or supernova remnant LBN576, I decided to give a two-panel mosaic a chance. Of course, the mantra "exposure time can only be substituted by more exposure time" always holds and more data would improve SNR, there's certainly no lack on the Little Rosette. On the other hand, the significant under-sampling doesn't call for a 100% view and the image is best viewed at lower magnifications.

The image metadata states about 9 hours of total intergration time which is roughly split 50/50.

As usual, feel free to comment!
