Description

NGC 2403
"NGC 2403 lies in the northern constellation Camelopardalis, the celestial giraffe. It shows detailed structure in the core, many pink nebulae and blue star forming regions, as well as some dust features in the spiral arms. NGC 2403 lies about 8 MILLION light years away and is 50,000 light years across. This galaxy is a member of the M81 group and was discovered in 1788 by William Herschel."

Taken from my backyard in Mobile, AL. A cropped and original are provided. Almost 5hrs of 3min subs. Used my new ASI290MM Mini Guide Cam (Monochrome) last night and it made an appreciable difference compared to my ASI224MC (Color) camera. The color matrix in front of the camera disrupts the light being read by the sensor and less precise, slightly larger pixels make a difference when your mount is making tracking adjustments measured in MICRONS!
