Description

Maybe this is more of an experiment in processing. I took about an hour worth of subs with my FRA500 and ZWO ASI294MC a few nights ago. I combined them with a set I had from late 2021 using the WO Redcat 250 and ZWO ASI533MC. APP stacked and scaled them with no problem. The total imaging time came to about 4:30h. Cropped the image, and continued processing in PI. Used the BlurXterminator, and processed the nebulosity separate from the stars (by using Starnet). For me it is very difficult to get a lot more details from M45 shooting inside this light cone where I live. Maybe if I go 10+ hours of exposure. Still, I am happy with what I captured. The shapes of the stars in the bottom left quadrant of the image are warped. I should go back and find out which subs are the culprit, but that's a story for some other time if I ever get to it. Enjoy!
