Description

A revisit of this one with the cooled QSI CCD camera. The cluster of stars is about 3600 light years away, and these bright young things are now busy blasting away at the gas they condensed from.

Interesting to compare this image with the one I took a year ago with the DSLR, the improved H-alpha sensitivity of the QSI is notable, and it is easier to calilbrate the star colours.

It's also worth noting that this image was taken from a suburban backyard, and my previous was from a dark sky site.
