This is my latest project - an intriguing and quite active part of the constellation Cygnus.
I wanted to image WR134 and the Tulip Nebula. While planning my session I saw that I can re-use my data of the Crescent Nebula from Y2021 in order to make a mosaic of the area. I just needed to add one more panel in order to have a 2x2 mosaic. So I did and I am quite glad that I undertook this project.
This time I went with 2 nights per panel. The mosaic was stitched with the mosaic script in PI. I think that the final image is quite seamless. Its resolution is 11361 x 7394 pixels or 84 megapixels
This is close to the resolution of the ZWO ASI461MM, but only close.
The frames were taken during the clear nights of June and August from my terrace in the city of Sofia - among the lights of the city. The IDAS NBZ filter came to the rescue as usual.
I can not stop to marvel at this area of the sky and the wonders of space. In addition I used the Star Alignment process in PI in order to count the stars in my mosaic (through working mode - detected stars). The result is nice - 281 178 stars.
