Description

A smiling galaxy
NGC 1055 galaxy looks down on Cetus A galaxy. This pair only stayed visible for a few hours each night. Took a total of 7hrs 18mins of 3 min subs.
Notice the striking difference in star colors that make up the "eyes." A blue, gold, and red show just how different stars can appear based on their size and age.
Both galaxies are spiral galaxies, NGC 1055 is viewed edge on while Cetus A is viewed face on. NGC 1055's noticeable central bulge of its core and dark dust lanes bear a similarity to our own Milky Way's. Cetus A's bar and spiral are clearly visible along with it's unique fainter rings at its edges.
Zoom in and find some other far off galaxies! - It's like astronomer's "Where's Waldo?"
