Sh2-7 A Baldessari’s-Promise Nebula

The bright blue star, 7-delta Sco (Dschubba) in Scorpius, is surrounded by a faint nebula. There’s not much written about this nebula, and the image is not that interesting. 7-delta Sco reportedly lies at 136 lyrs distance from us, whereas the nebula lies at 650 lyrs.
With this large number of subframes through each filter, the possibility of using “lucky imaging” on this DSO presents itself. I’ve been pondering a workflow that would accommodate Autostakkert!, which generally expects relatively bright images as input (i.e., images of the moon or planets). If anyone out there has used it successfully on DSO for multiband images and would like to share their technique, “I’m listening, Seattle.” (Apologies to the younger among us for that ancient reference.)
