Description

This Astrobin Debut Object is an obscure galaxy, or perhaps 2, located 380 million light years away in the constellation of Pisces at a declination of +17 degrees.  The object is 30 arc-seconds wide and spans 70,000 light years in diameter.  I could not find no information on this object.

My best guess is that it is a collisional ring galaxy, based on the larger blue ring and the smaller white “core”.  But unlike many collisional ring galaxies, the core is not centered relative to the ring.  Perhaps it was an off-center hit, since the ring itself appears asymmetric.
