Description

In fall 2020 Mars had a perigeum on 6th of October. Ares's planet was only a mere 62 million kms away - close enough for my small Newtonian to capture this image of the Red Planet (it's 220% resized from the original).

You can clearly see a lot of albedo features, the shrunk polar cap on the southern pole of the planet and the bluish clouds in it's athmosphere.

I observed the perigeum visually too - it's a memory for life for sure!
