Description

NGC3521...a spiral galaxy in the constellation of Leo. Classified as a "flocculent" galaxy, it is surrounded by a faint bubble of gas and stars torn from the galaxy as it interacted with other galaxies over billions of years. NGC3521 lies at a distance of 26.2 million light years. A number of much more distant galaxies can also be seen in the background.
