Description

I have tried this shot before but have always struggled to get the processing right. Here is my first semi-successful attempt at a full mineral moon. It seemed that seeing and transparency were both really good on this night and nearly every frame was really sharp. Unfortunately, I do not have a longer focal length scope so, the resolution is only 1200 x 1200. Maybe someday I can get something bigger. Anyways, once I figured out the alignment and stacking, I did all the edits in Photoshop. At the time of editing this, I had not yet learned how to use wavelets, so I’m sure it has more potential. Also, I could have spent more time processing it, but I’m happy with it for now.

Software: Adobe Photoshop CC, PIPP, Autostakkert (Version 3)
Date: 3.17.2022
