Description

A couple of clear night! let's test the setup:
Full focal lenght Celestron C 9.25
SBIG ST2000XM 600 sec shot @ -25°C with H alpha filter
Unguided 10Micron GM1000 HPS

Much more exposure is needed, but it seems a good starting point.

Revision C Pseudocolor
Mixing the Ha Image into RGB channels and using a starmask to protect stars:
Based on H beta wavelenght at 486 nm, with an equivalent RGB of (0, 239, 255) and a relative intensity (arbitrary) of 10% I get the mixing formula.

Being BG = median background level outside nebula

R = 100% Ha
G = 9,4% Ha + 98% BG
B = 10% Ha + 90% BG

Revision F: colorized using chrominance information from an image found on the Internet

Celestron C 9.25 a piena focale
Scatti da 600s a -25°C con lo SBIG ST2000XM con filtro H alpha
10Micron GM1000 HPS senza autoguida

Revisione C Pseudocolor
Mixing the Ha Image into RGB channels and using a starmask to protect stars:

R = 100% Ha
G = 9,4% Ha + 98% BG
B = 10% Ha + 90% BG
