Description

This is my first stacked shot through the 8" Ritchey-Chretien by Teleskop-Service.

I've used a Sony Alpha 7S, so I would probably have needed to add a field flattener for the telescope to be able to illuminate the full-frame sensor correctly. At the moment though, I don't have the flattener and am also using a 3D-printed bushing to attach the camera to the OTA. Both of these factors are likely partly responsible for the distorted stars in the right half of the field. Apart from that, there are also some artifacts in the core of the galaxy due to the combination of subframes with differing exposure lengths - I won't try that again 😄

After all I'm satisfied with this shot though, as I wouldn't have expected my mount to even properly track this focal lenght of 1624mm.
