Description

Here's the exposures I made a couple of nights ago before I discovered my mirrors were all misted up.

The mirrors look a lot happier now but the skies don't - typical.

Anyway, I got some exposures of Arp 145, which have combined to

produce a reasonable image in the circumstances. It's amazing how

dirty mirrors can become before the performance appears to be

compromised. You can see it here though in the misty flares around

the bright stars.

This is an odd one. Arp classifies it as Material Emanating from

Elliptical Galaxies, but this may not be correct, as the galaxy

should probably be in the next class, Galaxies with Associated Rings.

Around 70 x 60sec unguided exposures combined to make this one.
