Description

The Bubble Nebula is an emission nebula located in the constellation Cassiopeia. It was discovered by William Herschell in 1787It lies around 9000ly. Distant in our own Milky Way Galaxy and it measures 10ly. In diameter. The Bubble shaped object was created about 300,000 years ago by the stellar wind produced when the central star (approximately 44 times the mass of the Sun) ejected a layer of gas and dust into space at a  very fast speed. The intense emission of radiation pushing outwards, Ionized the Hydrogen gas causing it to glow in wavelengths we can see here on Earth.
