Description

This is about 4 hours of motion of (2) Pallas,  I later found two other asteroids in the field of view.

I've been experimenting with Tycho Tracker which is capable of synthetic tracking.  Essentially the software stacks the images along many thousands or even millions of different vectors looking to see if an asteroid just above the noise floor will pop out. With no target in mind I decided to try pointing the telescope at opposition on the ecliptic and took an hour of exposures 3min each.  Tycho was able to discover 26 visible asteroids down to magnitude +19. I'm still trying to think of a way to properly and concisely display that data in an interesting way for astrobin.   Super cool software and I may setup a second scope for NEO followup and automatic survey.
