Description

I remember the first time I stretched a stacked image (in DSS).  I said out loud, WHOA!   Haven't felt that way in a while as results with 10 to 20 hours of integration are expected to be amazing.  But this image did it to me.  The story:

I setup and was testing my old CGEM II mount the other night in my backyard.  Had my 102GT and OSC camera on it.  I knew I had only a few hours without clouds and also wanted to test my backfocus and tilt plate.  I went for the star clusters in Cassiopeia.   With bortle 6+, the full moon and poor seeing, I could barely see Polaris to rough align.  Got 25 x 5 minute subs and when I stacked (in APP) and saw the resulting image, I literally said out load WHOA!  Totally unexpected results.  Amazing to image this when you cannot even see Caph.   Posting for the story (as I hope you don't pixel peep the stars in the corners...will work on those issues next clear night).

Wishing you all have WHOA moments!
