Stacked and aligned in DSS

PixInsight

First up DBE to remove gradients

Then onto EZSuite Noise reduction

Then a linear stretch using EZSuite SoftStretch

Straton

Remove stars from Ha/OIII Images

Photoshop

Removal of star artifacts with dust/scratches filter

PixInsight

Without starless narrowband images I do further noise reduction and aggressive stretching with some black clipping to really get the contrast of the data, once satisfied with the stretching

Pixelmath to produce a BiColour image.

R=Ha

G=(0.35*Ha) + (0.65*Oiii)

B=(0.2*Ha)+(0.8*Oiii)

Separate the channels into RGB using RGB Split, and re-combine with LRGB using a stacked image of both OIII & Ha as the Luminance Channel

Color masks to modify the reds to more of an orange, and the cyan to more of a blue

EZ Suite HDR

Range mask and star mask to increase the smaller details in the nebula with MultiScaleLinearTransform

Curve adjustments for saturation and contrast improvements

DarkStructureEnhance utility

Photoshop

TopazLabs Noise Reduction

Notes:

I plan to add SII data soon and do a true SHO image. I think there is too much noise reduction in this image at the moment, so I plan on modifying some processing in the SHO version to get a more realistic image. I think the lack of noise comes from the ToneMapping process I did which clips some of the blacks in the Mono images before recombining with the Luminance channel, which is pretty noiseless to begin with.

Worth noting that I am beyond impressed with the Chroma OIII filter. Night and Day compared to previous filters (Atik/ZWO)
