Description

This rather bland object is IC2501. It is a carbon-rich planetary nebula in Carina.  Very little information is available about this PN. However, it has a slight extension in the NE-SW axis and has a size of around 20 arc seconds. Magnitude is 11.1.  No central star is visible and it remains a filled shell with a slight bluish colour.
