Description

Because I was asked for, here a pic of my little garden observatory. You can see, it is very simple. Because of tall trees in my garden, this is the only possible area to place it. You can see here:

Edge 11 HD

Skywatcher EQ-6R

Williams Megrez 90 as guide scope

Celestron .7 reducer for Edge 11 HD

ASI 6200 mm pro

ASI 120 mc as guiding camera

installed dew heating system

filter drawer

cabeling

my computer

chair

very old camping desk

my natural wild garden

Squirrel in the tree☝️☺

sometimes after a rain shower the mount is sinking a little into the mud and I have to correct it again. The big advantage I have is no ground - or dome seeing issue here, which helps a lot for good image resolution and of course a very good wind protecting because of the trees around, which I think is very important in addition . During the night I am often visited by a hedgehog and an owl, which loves my old walnut tree. I really enjoy to be outside with my scope while imaging and listen to the nightly frog concert under the stars.....

Update: problem with sinking tripod now solved👍🏼

Title: Took my edge11 to Namibia

Description: Was far away from home. Took my edge 11 to Namibia. On the awesome astrofarm "Kiripotib" I rented this impressive Fornax 55 mount for it. In these two weeks I was able to expose nearly every night under perfect conditions. The pics will follow soon after processing.
