Description

NGC 891, or the Silver Sliver Galaxy, is an unbarred spiral galaxy lying 30 million light-years away in the Andromeda constellation. It is viewed side-on from our location here on Earth. Situated off to the right of NGC 891, is the Abell 347 cluster. A cluster of galaxies that lies nearly 240 million light-years away.

It was my goal with this image to gather enough integration time to start seeing the faint details of these galaxies. I gathered nearly 3 hours per filter, R, G & B.
