Description

"THE GABRIELA MISTRAL & GEM NEBULA"
- Deepfield 3040mm LRGBhA
- Area Constellation Carinae

NGC 3324 is an emission nebula with what is probably a very young open cluster to the northwest of the Carina Nebula, closely associated with emission nebula IC 2599. The distance is estimated at 7500 light years. This beautiful nebula complex is also called the "GABRIELA MISTRAL NEBULA".

Taken with an Officina Stellare Pro RC 360 360mm, focal 3040mm, an Astrophysics GTO 1200 mount and the FLI Proline 16803 CCD. 16 lights a 600s each for luminance, 8 lights each a 240s for R, G & B and 8 lights each a 480s hAlpha, SII and OIII.
