Custom Lens Mount + FocuserThis was first light for me on a new lens mount and automation setup which I designed. I captured this image at a bortle 3/4 dark site. I designed it in solidworks and 3D printed to mount my Rokinon F2 135mm Canon DSLR Lens. It took me three print iterations over a week before I got a serviceable setup. I was excited to print this because the EAF has enabled me to get the sharpest images I've seen out of this lens. Focusing manually using the 10x zoom on the DSLR screen, or a bahtinov mask just hasn't been this precise for me. While the lens looks pretty good at F2 - I stopped it down to F4 (2 lens clicks) because it was a dark site and wanted to sharpen up the stars.
Field ChallengesI had to do some field parts swapping and bolt repositioning because I designed it using my 2600MC (which I borrowed from my other scope), but as soon as I attached my astro-modified DSLR it didn't fit right. I had to reattach everything in the field.
