Description

One of the hardest images I've processed to date.

To begin with, this image shows a variety of different things such as emission nebula, supernova remnant and the pulsar B1509-58.

This pulsar spins at roughly 7 times per second and emits powerful bursts of energy that have created the display you see above.  It is located in the central part of the Ha region (sometimes called the Hand Nebula). To me, the overall SNR kind of looks like a bird, which was shaped by the pulsar's energy.

Located approximately 17,000 light years distant.

Data From:  Obstech in Chile with Martin Pugh's data service with a Planewave CDK24.
