Close shot of the Tarantula Nebula in Dorado - a spectacular region of star formation in the Large Magellenic Cloud satellite galaxy. If it was as close as the Orion nebula, it would be so huge that it would occupy the entire constellation of Orion and cast shadows on Earth...

Unguided composite image taken with my Celestron 8SE, based on multiple short subs, stacked in DSS and edited in StarTools.
