Description

Finally had a chance to fix the sensor tilt on my Hypergraph 8.

With 90% full moon, and a reluctance to observe past 2am (severe dew), I though it would be a good test of an f/3.2 system too see a) whether I had managed to reduce the defocus caused by the tilt and b) just what SNR I could collect on a relatively bright target under challenging bright and humid conditions (beautiful moon halo from 1am).

Overall I am pleased with the outcome, although it will still need more data.  Nevertheless, I am impressed with the performance of the TS Hypergraph 8, now that I am beginning to get the optical train into some sort of shape. When I purchased it, I was concerned that it might prove to be a bit of a dud - not many images using this scope on Astrobin - but so far I have been impressed.

I did dial up the colours on this one - but, hey, its NB imaging and you can have any colour you like.   And besides this really only started out as an optical alignment test.
