Description

For my international friends, "Seabiscuit" is a humorously-used name referring to a race horse - I think there may have actually been a 'Seabiscuit', but . . . The Horsehead Nebula, also known as Barnard 33, is a cold, dark cloud punched into the surrounding brightness of nebulosity called Lynds 1630. At a distance of ~1350-1400 light years, it's interesting to note that from the tip of its nose to the back of its neck is approximately 1 light year; try saddling THAT horse!
