Description

Here is a pretty little planetary in Hercules that I collected 40 minutes of data recently. Just getting around to processing it. Its pretty bright overall, but the outer edges are faint, requiring longer exposures to tease out of the light pollution of my suburban sky. I probably would have had a little better luck with a high quality tri-band UHC filter that I sometimes use that passes OIII, H-alpha and H-beta lines, but I was lazy and both nights and didn't swap filters. I guess I can use the excuse that it was pretty late and I was tired! Maybe I'll try collecting a little additional data using the filter the next time it stops raining.

Each of the 5 images was a stack of 240 two second exposures, live-stacked SharpCap. I stacked these 5 eight minutes live-stacks using FitsWork for a final image with a total of 40 minutes integration time.
