Description

I observed this object on 17 June 2015 at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison in Colorado using a 12” Skywatcher Dobsonian: Not very bright but the core appears somewhat concentrated and there appears to be a large halo.

I observed this object on 26 September 2016 at the Okie-Tex Star Party using a 12” Skywatcher Dobsonian: I easily spotted this globular cluster as a bright round patch at 63x. Observing at 87x and 150x made the patch bigger but did not add any detail.

I obtained the calibrated lights frames used to create the final image from Telescope Live. The frames were imaged by the CHI-1-CMOS Telescope at the El Sauce Observatory in Chile.
