As for my previous picture of M99
the imaging session of this M101 was intended to test the latest gradient correction technique by Vicent Peris.
(the link to the original article can be found in the description of my M99 image)
M99 was a small target: the gradient correction is quite easy, so the idea was to test it on a larger target.
Here the reason why I choose M101.
IMHO this technique is going to be a MUST for city imagers
In version B you can see a direct comparison between original and corrected image
In version C you can see the large field image used for gradient modeling.
I took it with a Canon 60D at 800 ISO and an Letiz Elamrit - R 180 mm F 2.8 at F/4
140 x 20 sec subs.
