This is my first (so far) deep sky picture with my Maksutov 180. I choose one of the biggest and highest target (from 53º to 80º) for this night: M101 (mag 7.70). 12x 15 minutes, with a Canon 6D Astrodon @3200 iso 35 flats, 35 darks, offset (@1600 iso)
I know that f/d 15, is not the best option to shoot a galaxy. Let's says I wanted to experiment, what my Canon 6D would do on the tube with the auto guiding with 50mm guiding scope. I wanted to have more details than with my Newton 150 f/d 4. Of course I have to expose longer, much longer 15 minutes and yet it's not very colorful. I spend several hours to try to get the best of it. It could be better but for the time I already spent I think it's time to stop.
I was quite satisfied that the autoguiding worked well at the focal of 2900 mm even if next time, I will choose rather 10 minutes (done for my test) rather than 15 minutes to avoid having potatoes instead of nice rounded star. Hopefully the deconvolution in Pixinsight gave great result. I mainly used this

The tube was well balanced with autoguider on one side and the finder on the other side.
The picture is only slightly cropped to get rid of vignetting with the full-frame.
