Description

Finally getting into the swing of my SCT at f/10 and LHaRGB processing.
On the processing side - the Generalized Hyperbolic Stretch Script is a game changer.  No masked stretches or much multiscale processing and got these results. The other game changer is the NoiseExterminator AI - I think it is better than topaz and can be applied in the linear phase of editing.

The Whirlpool Galaxy, also known as Messier 51a, is an interactinggrand-designspiral galaxy with a Seyfert 2active galactic nucleus. The bright region to the right is another galaxy (NGC 5195) which is interacting with the Whirlpool Galaxy. This was the first galaxy identified to have a spiral structure (in 1854!).  The red spots are regions of hydrogen gas nebula in the galaxy, dark regions are dust that absorb the light emitted from the other stars.

The seeing wasn't great and my tracking was less than ideal, RMS ~ 0.9 arc seconds (in bin 2 mode my imaging resolution was 0.64 arcsec/pixel)
