Description

The main object in this image is LBN 748. It is somewhat dim for a bright nebula (4 of 6 scale, 1=brightest). There are several interesting smaller or background objects in this field. The planetary nebula IC 351 is in the lower right - though at this image scale it looks not much different from that of a deep blue star. Additionally, the are a few background galaxies - UGC 02885 and several of its companion galaxies, as well as galaxies UGC 02868, 02886, 02887. There is also a distant galaxy cluster (1.728 billion light years by redshift estimate). These objects and some bright stars are identified in the annotated image. Horizontal FOV is approximately 88 arc minutes (1.88 arcsec/pix image scale on the full size image).
