Description

NGC 5364 is the beautiful face on galaxy in this group (discovered by William Herschel in 1786) and is classified as a "Grand Design Spiral Galaxy". It is located about 54.5 million light years away in Virgo. Next to it is NGC 5363, a lenticular galaxy, about 65 million light years from earth. Wikipedia reports that these two galaxies are non-interacting but NORI LAB indicates that they may be in the early stages of gravitational interaction.
