Description

The Pinwheel Galaxy is a nearby spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major and lies some 21 million light years away. It's a rather large galaxy with a diameter of 170000 light years, and 2x the number of stars as our Milky Way galaxy. It has many star forming H-II regions marked by the red regions throughout the spiral arms.
