Description

NGC7380 is technically the young star cluster that sits in the middle of the well known Wizard Nebula, also known as Sh2-142 in the Sharpless catalog. This object is practically impossible to observe visually, but fairly easy to photograph with narrowband filters, being a very common target in the late summer / early fall. For this image I had a good (and rare) run of clear nights, allowing me to add the amount of data that I desired for the project. Processing it with PixInsight and GHS was a pleasure. I did add a bit of contrast with GIMP at the end that I think added a little extra touch.
