Description

Also known as the less appealing Vulture Head Nebula, this relatively faint reflection nebula is embedded in the much larger Taurus Molecular Cloud, providing the brownish-hue to the nebulosity.  Located just 5 degrees from M45, the field also reveals Bernard 207 as the darker element above the eye.  The bluish hue to the right of the head is from magnitude 5.1 blue-white B-type star, 41 Tauri, which is not in this field of view.
