Description

I've found this difficult to process so far ... when evil orb is gone I will probably at least double the Ha capture and try and clean up the Luminance channel and reduce some of the noise.

Version 2 - Processing workflow

-Calibrate and stack Ha, Sii and Oiii individually as normal with the usual suspects. Calibration only used master super bias and master dark. No flat frames used

- Align Sii and Oiii to Ha, crop Ha, Sii and Oiii followed with two rounds of DBE (division followed by subtraction on each

- Linear noise reduction on Ha, Sii and Oiii images with MLT and luminance mask

- Masked stretch with 0.0 clipping on Ha, Sii and Oiii

- Duplicate each image, create starless tone map image using duplicate (old wexi method), run three iterations of ExponentialTransformation using PIP and lightness mask

- Blend respective tone maps back into original images with PixelMath (old wexi method) 40% first time, 20% second with dark point reset after each using HistogramTransformation

- Linear fit Sii and Oiii to Ha

- RGB space ChannelCombination Sii to R, Ha to G and Oiii to B

- Color correction of RGB image using ColorMask and CurvesTransformation. Main color masks were magenta, green, cyan and yellow

- Remaining magenta removed using PixelMath standard expression for removing magenta stars

- SCNR green removal 35%

- Various CurvesTransformations for RGB/K and/or HUE

- Complete removal of stars from RGB image (old wexi method)

- 3 applications of ATrousWaveletTransform with 4 layers and first two layers disabled

- Process non-liner Ha image further in preparation for use as Luminance channel using mask to protect low signal areas - 2 iterations of UnsharpMask, 1 MMT. Noise reduction w/ TGVD and ACDNR, and final UnsharpMask

- LRGBCombination with blurred RGB and Ha as L channel with saturation and lightness boost

- Final curves and color adjustments. Slight HDRMT to expose inner details.

- Slight star reduction

- Final ACDNR on lower signal area/background
