Description

Yesterday morning it was supposed to be clear in Leeds virtually all night ... three forecasts agreed which is usually rock solid

But of course ....

There was off an on very low clouds with rain

I had rushed home to re position my new setup onto the lawn to have a better view of the southern sky in order to capture things in the region of Orion

I had adjusted back focus by 1mm as wasn't getting round stars across the field

I had invested in some powered repeater cables to be able to control scope still from inside the house - there was an initial glitch (even though I had tested ) but got it working eventually

By time I got everything sorted the sky had got in a cycle of ten mins clear then clouds and light rain for x then ten mins clear

I managed to grab a massive SIX minutes of usable lume subs 24 x 15 secs exposure

Processed whilst waiting for another gap which never really appeared

So posting this as a memory of frustrating evening ... stars rounder which is good but not perfect
