Description

Supernova remnants, such as the Crescent Nebula and the Jellyfish Nebula (shown here) always make me think of popcorn. In truth, I suppose the effect of a massive star going supernova isn't really so different... on a celestial scale.

This is a narrow-band capture and edit of the Jellyfish Nebula (IC443) along with its neighbour, the emission nebula Sharpless 249. This DSO is located at the foot of the constellation, Gemini.

These two images represent 7:20 of combined narrow-band data that was shot in Ha, SII & OIII.

Imaged over two evenings from my Bortle 8 home location and rendered here in both SHO and HSO variants.
