Description

This animation, which I've generated from my own image (a stack of 6304 short exposures), simulates the parallax that stars around the Orion Nebula would have for a moving fictional observer. However, the animation does not precisely reflect reality (details are provided below).

Firstly, the stars in the original image were categorized into five distinct groups based on their distances from the Sun:
• 2500±750 light years
• 1500±250 light years
• 1000±250 light years
• 500±250 light years
• 130±120 light years
Additional background stars were then added to the original image, grouped into a single category. Distance data for the stars were obtained from Stellarium's catalog. Stars without distance data and the nebulae were grouped into two separate categories. Subsequently, different motion effects were applied to a total of eight categories.
