Description

Here's an image of the "Pacman Nebula" taken last night from my observatory in rural east-central Georgia. Although astronomers love to refer to this celestial object by its video character name, it's cataloged as NGC281. The image is a two hour integrated exposure captured with my C14 telescope operating at f/2. Found 9200 light years away within the constellation of Cassiopeia, this nebula is a stellar nursey where new stars and solar systems are forming within our galaxy.
