Description

Hi, after 4 months of bad weather I finally finished a picture again, hopefully you like it.
M94 is known for its well-defined structure which includes two concentric rings. The inner ring, sometimes referred to as the starbust ring due toits high rate of star formation, has a radius of approximately 2900 light-years.
The outer ring, faunter and sparsely populated, extends nearly 70000 ligth-years from the galaxy's core. These rings have led to discussions about the galaxy's structure and star formation processes.
Further adding to M94's intrigue is its status as an active galaxy, possessing a Seyfert II nucleus. This nucleus type is associated with high nergy outputs possibly related to a supermassive black hole at the galaxy's core.
