Description

NGC 7497 is a Hubble-type SBc barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Pegasus in the northern starry sky. It is estimated to be 84 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 100,000 light-years.

The object was discovered on October 15, 1784, by astronomer William Herschel using a 48-cm telescope.

MBM 54 is a molecular cloud located just above the disk plane of our Galaxy.
Sometimes called galactic cirrus or IFN (Integrated Flux Nebula), these clouds consist of dust and particles of low density and reflect the starlight of our Milky Way.
MBM stands for the initials of the discoverers Magnani, Blitz and Mundy.
The distance of the molecular cloud should be 500-850 light years.
