Description

I took this picture at the beginning of the year. Whenever I look at her I am full of awe and think, wow, how small we are and are part of what we barely understand.
In this picture you can see the Markarian chain. The local group of galaxies to which the Milky Way belongs and so do we. Our neighbors, so to speak. Well, back to the recording. I also kept asking myself what is there, what kind of veil is in the middle of the picture. Well, it's dwarf galaxy IC3355. A whopping 5 million light-years away from us with a diameter of 2000 light-years, which is by far not much. 5,000,000 light years !!! If you just let this number "sink" ........ you realize, I see this galaxy as it looked 5 million years ago. And when I look at the other galaxies, some of them will be even older than IC3355 ........Unfortunately, there was dust on the sensor
