The monsoon clouds finally cleared out and let me image for a couple of evenings. I'm still working on getting the Evostar 80ED dialed in but it's getting closer. I probably should have picked an easier target - I tried imaging the Crescent Nebula a couple of years ago an failed miserably. This time was a bit better but without a doubt, this is a tough target to process. More data would have been helpful but the weather has not been the greatest. Intermittent clouds passing by resulted in nearly half of my subs getting tossed. At least I had some time on a new target. Clouds are moving back in so the weather looks bad for the foreseeable future.

If the weather ever clears I might try to add some more data to get more blues to tease out for the Crescent and get a better defined Soap Bubble. If you use your imagination, the Soap Bubble is somewhat visible.

Description: I actually had another evenings worth of data that was not framed to include the Soap Bubble Nebula. I decided to use mosaic integration so that this additional data could be incorporated allowing for more detail with the Crescent Nebula. The added data was predominantly Oiii which allowed for significant increase of blues. I think this version is a bit better than the first effort. That being said, this is a tough target and I still hope to learn some new techniques to improve it further.
