Description

The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) is an emission nebula located in Cassiopeia. The nebula lies 7,100 light-years from Earth. It was created by a strong stellar wind from a young, massive, hot Wolf-Rayet star that shed its material to form the nebula. The Nebula itself is about 10 light-years in diameter.

The image is produced in narrowband SHO with RGB stars. The Bubble Nebula lies at the centre of the image with the M52 (or NGC 7654) Open Star Cluster towards the bottom left.
