Description

It's not really easy to make an animation with a monochrome camera.

I took advantage of my videos of 20-07-2021 to compose with three images this small animation that represents 40 minutes of rotation (from 00: 57 UT to 01: 37 UT).
It is always a pleasure to see the planets in motion and to appreciate in particular with Jupiter the evolution of the cloud layers.
The very inclined orientation of the planet is intended in order to highlight its strong flattening, due to a dizzying speed of rotation. The planet makes a turn on itself in less than 10 hours, which is prodigious given its size.
At the bottom left, and for each of the three images, are given the time in UT and the height of Jupiter.
We can realize that the details are more accentuated as the planet rises, although very small, on the horizon (from 32° to 34°).
