Description

SH-114 (Flying Dragon Nebula) is a faint emission nebula.  Its wispy twisted shape resembles a flying dragon with outstretched bat-like wings and a serpentine neck.  It is an unusual emission nebula that is thought to be sculpted by a combination of intense stellar winds emitted by massive, hot, O and B stars interacting with magnetic fields within the interstellar medium.  There has been little study of this nebula and I can find no information about its size and distant.
